About 2 years ago I moved into my apartment. I loved my place except for the fact that it had this really heavy, really stiff sliding balcony door that, after a while, took its toll on my left wrist. I started to notice that I could no longer put any pressure on it - it was just too painful. This was really frustrating for me but I thought there was nothing that could be done and accepted the fact that yoga would never be the same.
Then I noticed that my jaw started to click every time I ate anything - especially hard chews like apples and dense bread. Not only was it annoying but it often was very painful. Once again, I didn’t think anything could help and I was going to go on and not do anything about it, hoping that it would eventually disappear or I would learn to live with it. So I just ended up avoiding some of the foods that I love, like sushi.
I never thought that chiropractic could help me because, well, chiropractic is for the back and my back is fine. It’s my wrist and jaw that have the problem, right? But after learning a little more about chiropractic, I realized that there were ways that it could help me aside from my back.
Even after one adjustment, I can honestly say that my wrist felt better. I lived with the pain for 2 years and within days, I was back to normal. I was very impressed and relieved to feel normal again. It's not the only improvements I have experienced since seeing a chiropractor. Now I am comfortable eating everything again, even sushi!
I feel so fortunate to have had this opportunity. I never thought that seeing a chiropractor would help with my wrist or jaw, but I was shockingly surprised. I guess I sound like a testimonial, but chiropractic really works! Even if you are skeptical, you should try it. What's the worst that could happen? You feel better? --S.S.
